About Navigation Ministries
Hello,
my name is Matthew “Matt” Bowers, and my greatest calling is to serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am blessed to be the husband of my wife, Shawna, and the father of Eli, Kensi, and James.
Originally from Rockmart, Georgia, I now reside in Green Cove Springs, Florida. After serving 22 years in the United States Navy within the law enforcement and security community, I retired from military service and have continued pursuing opportunities to lead, teach, and serve others. Most recently, I served as Dean of Students at St. Johns Classical Academy in Fleming Island, Florida.
Throughout my career, God has allowed me to develop a passion for teaching, mentoring, and equipping others. For more than 20 years, I have served as an instructor, facilitator, and leader in both government and ministry settings. I hold a Doctor of Ministry in Evangelism and Church Planting and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University.
Through Navigation Ministries, my desire is to help believers navigate life through the truth of God's Word, grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and be equipped for the work of ministry.
Whether through teaching, discipleship, prayer, counseling, evangelism, or missions, my goal is to faithfully serve others and advance the Kingdom of God for His glory.
